The
City of Cascade Locks is an Internet Service Provider (ISP). The
City utilizes its coax Cable Television (CATV) System to provide
a broadband internet connection. This service is available to
all of the residents and most of the businesses with in the City
limits.
The
Basic cable modem internet connection includes:
3 email boxes
10 MB of web space
and 24 hour customer service and technical support
The
City also offers a Premium Service at a higher cost which includes:
Web and email at the customer domain
200 MB of Web Space
10,000MB of data transfer per month
The
minimum system requirements for a broadband connection are:
Windows
95/NT 98/Me/2000/XP:
166 MHz Pentium Processor
32 MB RAM (windows 95/98/Me); 64 MB RAM ( Winnows
200/XP)
110 MB of hard disk space free before installation
Available Ethernet or USB port
CD-ROM Drive
Macintosh:
75 MHz PowerPC
Mac OS 8.6-9.2.1 and OS X
80MB of hard disk space before installation
Available Ethernet or USB port
CD-Rom drive
The
customer is responsible for providing a cable modem that is DOCSIS
1.0 compliant (DOCSIS 1.1, 2.0 based Cable modems are available
for purchase at the City) and a computer that meets the minimum
specifications for the internet service.
Currently
the City has modems available to our customers at the wholesale
cost of $50.00 ea.

customers may check their email from any internet access by going
to webmail.clbb.net
